IN PARTICIPATING IN YOGA CLASSES AND DISCUSSIONS WITH YOGA BELOW THE BELT, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I UNDERSTAND THE LESSONS, CLASSES, AND TEXT OFFERED ARE NOT A FORM OF THERAPY OR TREATMENT FOR ANY CONDITION, INCLUDING THE PELVIC FLOOR.

Yoga is a physical activity with the potential to cause new or worsen existing injuries. I understand that in participating, both via video and through live instruction, that I do so at my own risk and that I alone am responsible for my health. I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress reduction and relief of muscular tension. Participation in yoga class includes, but is not limited to, practicing meditation, breathing techniques, and performing various yoga postures. Yoga involves the pelvic floor, entire skeletal system, internal organs, glands, and nerves. Muscles are stretched and toned, joints are moved, and the body increases flexibility. The practice of yoga is an individual experience, with each body having different requirements to feel comfortable. I am aware that I am responsible for respecting my body’s limitations to prevent injury. If at any time during a posture, movement, or modification brings me any discomfort or strain, I will gently come out of the posture and understand that I may rest at any time during the class.

As is the case with any physical activity, there is a risk of sustaining an injury or worsening symptoms of pre-existing conditions, including pelvic floor dysfunction, back pain, knee pain, and any other health or body concern when participating in yoga. As with all exercise, the risk of developing physical injury, even serious, disabling, or deadly, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, stop the exercise, and consult with a medical expert. I understand that the classes and lessons offered by Yoga Below the Belt are not a treatment method and are not a substitute for medical attention, examination, or diagnosis. Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions. I should consult a physician prior to beginning any exercise program, including yoga. I affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to practice yoga. I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or hereafter may have against Yoga Below the Belt or its teachers.

I understand the videos offered through the Yoga Below the Belt are the sole and exclusive property of Yoga Below the Belt and are protected intellectual property. I agree not to copy, sell or modify the content. I will not reproduce, publicly perform or distribute these materials in any way.

I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns as follows: I (a) irrevocably WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which hereafter may occur to me, including my traveling to and from yoga classes, yoga teacher, and Yoga Below the Belt, who is hosting these classes and where sessions are being held (in-person or online), and each of their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives and agents and (b) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS AND AGREE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph as to any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in yoga classes, whether caused by the negligence of releasees or otherwise.
