Please don't give up on your active life

Yoga for the pelvic floor may be able to help.

This is a great option if you're looking for postpartum yoga online, want to try yoga poses for menopause, or just need an exercise option that is aware of your pelvic floor concerns.

Tired of dealing with pelvic floor concerns?

Maybe you have a new baby at home and are realizing your body "down there" isn't what it used to be.

You could be living with pain, pressure, prolapse, uncomfortable sex, and more.

Maybe you are entering into or already living with menopause.

You could be living with a leaky bladder, pain, discomfort, and more.

Maybe you have finished PT for your pelvic floor dysfunction, but EVERY exercise you try makes your symptoms worse.

You are frustrated, worried, and don't know what to do with your body. Life was not supposed to take you down this road.

You are not alone!

There are a lot of statistics out there, but here is one to remember:24% of women experience pelvic floor dysfunction in their lifetimes according to National Institute of Health.Unfortunately, pelvic health is not something women (or men) really learn about when they are growing up. Did you ever hear the words "pelvic floor" before you started struggling with those muscles? (I know it was news to me!)

Here is what some of the science say about yoga?:

Improves the quality of life in women with chronic pelvic pain (Journal of Women's Health Physical Therapy, 2019

Improves recovery of postpartum women (Journal of Healthcare Engineering, 2022

Improves female sexual function (Journal of Sexual Medicine, 2010)

Improves continence in women (Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice, 2022)

Strategy for long-term weight loss (PLoS ONE, 2022)

There is an exercise option that may help.

It is REALLY challenging to find an exercise option that does not worsen your symptoms. Fortunately, yoga for the pelvic floor is a great choice that can both stretch and strengthen the pelvic floor while working the entire body. This fitness option is beginner-friendly, offers lots of modifications for your pelvic floor concerns, and meets your body where it is. You don't have to worry about crazy hand-stands or insta-perfect poses. Every body deserves a chance to get fit, and pelvic floor yoga might be a great option for you.

Practising Yoga with Mom

Hello

My name is Tracy Mattox

Mom, Chemist, Pelvic Floor Yoga Instructor

I'm sorry you are struggling with pelvic floor concerns, and I know what you are going through. After delivering baby #2, all of my organs "down there" prolapsed. My bladder was grade 2, and the pressure was awful. Doctors said surgery was my option, but I declined. I gave up on distance running, basketball, and jumping with my kids. My active life was gone.

After nine years, I asked for a referral to PT. Several months in, I started to apply what I was learning to yoga and my life began to change. With consistent practice, I realized my symptoms were improving, and now I can jump and run and hike again. I'm myself again.

As a certified yoga instructor with training on pelvic floor yoga, it's not my mission to prevent people from suffering as long as I did. My classes are not a treatment option, but the results of consistent practice may surprise you!

Are you ready to be active again?
